Where can I get a lithium-ion battery charger? Does anyone know where I can get a lithium-ion battery charger? Does anyone know where I can get a lithium-ion battery charger? (from a store)

Will the Casio NP-60 lithium-ion battery charger work in Spain with just a plug converter? (US-SPAIN)? I just bought a new Casio camera, and it came with the NP-60 lithium-ion battery and charger. On the back, it says AC100-240V, yet I am not sure if I can just use a plug converter and let it charge, or if that would damage battery and charger alike. Ideas? Thanks!

Where can i find a Lithium Ion Battery Charger for a Sidekick LX? Not a Phone charger but a charger that i can pull the battery and put it into the charger and charge it and i need to know about an actual store not an online place.

Sonia P replied: "Go to the T-Mobile store; if they don't have it they will tell you who does. Or you can go to radioshack."

can i charge the lithium battery in a regular 18 volt Milwaukee charger? when i put the lithium in the charger last nigth it ethier drained the battery completely or riuned the battery. can it be fixed?

cezar t replied: "For lithium battery you need a special designed charger, so using another charger you might ruined the battery. You can try charge the battery with a lithium charger and see if it still work.If not you will need a new battery!!!"

wires replied: "Odds are that you have ruined the battery. Each type of battery, NiCad, Li-Ion, NiMH, has a unique chemistry and each requires a charger that is designed for that chemistry. To charge one type of battery in a charger designed for another type could well damage the battery, the charger, or both. Of course, the charger also has to be the correct voltage. You can't charge a 12 volt NiMh battery in a charger for 18 volt NiMH batteries. The charger would cook the battery in this case."

Anyone Know where I can Buy a Lithium Ion Battery CHARGER? Hi, I bought a XIAS camera about a year ago.. I got little use out of it before I lost my charger.. I've been looking online for a charger but, no hope. Does anyone know where I can find one? I wouldn't mind ordering online. My camera battery says 3.7 Volts and it's 820mAH. Thank you for answers & Links I spent about 120$ altogether

Jerry replied: "See the link. I had the wrong link first, look at the new link. The link comes slow, be patient."

Would I need a special charger for a Lithium ion battery? I have a rapid charger for regular rechargeable batteries. Could I use this for a lithium-ion rechargeable battery or would I need to purchase a charger just for LI-ion batteries?

HDN replied: "You need a special charger. Li-ion batteries are usually not round but square or odd-shaped (as in a laptop computer) and I don't see how they fit in a charger for regular rechargeable batteries (I assume you mean AA or AAA?)"

Tom H replied: "Yes you can get Li-Ion batteries in the AA size & some larger non-standardized sizes. But no, you absolutely cannot recharge them in your recharger, which I assume is a Ni-MH type recharger. The recharger voltages will be entirely wrong, and Li-Ion batts. may require special recharging currents to handle the deeper discharge circumstances."

Do you necesserily need to buy a lithium battery charger from the camera's maker? I lost my camera's lithium battery charger (Type G). It's a Sony Cybershot DSC-W30. I recently went to the Sony store to see if they sell the chargers alone. Apparently they do, but for a 100$. Now, counting Ebay out, is there any other way i can buy a charger for this camera & battery type somewhere else for cheaper. If i have to buy the charger from Sony, I might as well buy a new camera, since this one is not in perfect condition. But I really don't want to considering im saving up for a DSLR anyways.

Jose S replied: "go to a pawn shop lol err try to go to best buy or target sometimes those places carry them and ask the workers"

Richard B replied: "It is always better to buy such an accessory from the manufacturer of the device with which it will be used. There is never a guarantee that another manufacturer's accessory will be compatible with your device. Don't buy this stuff on eBay because eBay cannot guarantee anything about things bought/sold through their website."

le_cesar replied: "sell your camera in ebay and then just add the money to the DSLR account you have made."

Martin P replied: "best to get it from Sony; there have been big problems with lithium ion batteries; mainly fires!"

cyberfly00 replied: "sony has nice stuff but way overpriced"

fhotoace replied: "Yes. The OEM chargers have special features not found on third-party chargers. The will not overcharge the battery which could cause a fire or in the worst case explode. The also condition the battery and usually do a 80% quick charge and then a slow charge until fully charged. Also if your battery fails using a third-party charger, it may not be covered by the camearas warranty. Consider the cost of the charger as insurance."

vienna2001 replied: "Is this the charger? 43 bucks. HTH."

epic_laydown replied: "that's quite the dilemma you got there. Even paying 43 bucks for a charger is a bit expensive for a camera you'll probably not use after you get your DSLR. Consider a camera that is under 100 dollars which will get you by for the next few months or whatever until you get the new camera. You really need to compare the Sony W30 with a inexpensive camera. Another thing is to borrow someone else's charger, that is if you know someone with the same camera. Or see how much you can get on it on Craigslist."

gadgetZ replied: "no, i got mine from ionhub that works just fine and very compact."

A flashing light on a camera's lithium ion battery charger - what does it mean? The camera I've got is a Casio Exilim EX-Z70. I went to take a photo earlier, and the battery was completely dead and now it won't charge. Can anyone help please?

brmuchim replied: "If you have the User's Manual for the camera, it should give you a troubleshooting guide which most likely will cover your issue you have right now. However, I believe that you are experiencing an old battery, a corroded battery, or a faulty charger. Contact the manufacturer or clean the battery with a damp cloth."

Martin B replied: "I think it means the battery is charging."

Is possible to charge a 3.6v camera lithium battery by connecting its terminals directly to a phone charger? I have lost my camera charger i was thinking if i can use a phone charger terminals by connecting it directly to the battery terminals.if its possible can i use a higher charger voltage than the battery specfied voltage i.e 3.6v li-ion battery charging with 3.9v or 4.5v adapter?

screwdriver replied: "Buy a charger specifically designed for your battery number there are loads of them on eBay. You need the one that mentions your batteries number in the list of compatible batteries. Lithium batteries must NEVER be overcharged (they go bang) you need a charger that monitors the state of the battery during charge. Don't underestimate these little critters, they store more energy than a 45 magnum cartridge has. So when they go bang they really go bang. 100's of people a year get injured by these batteries blowing up, a few even get killed. Buy a proper charger for your battery they are cheap enough, don't risk it. Chris"

I'm getting a canon 400d, and i see it needs a Lithium ion rechargeable battery,do i need a battery charger? Well, i see what kind of battery it needs, but do i need to check if it comes with that battery, and do i need a battery charger?

fhotoace replied: "If you are not tempted into buying the 400D over the Internet at prices 20% lower than the msrp, then the battery, battery charger, all the cables and Canon CD's come in the box. It is only grey market cameras that have the OEM components stripped from them and replaced by inferior products"
